How do you define success?

I really believe life is too short to waste even a single day on unimportant activities. Every day should be made as successful as possible. Of course, this means something different to you than it does to me. A successful day for me may be a total disaster for someone else. During a major web site launch, I am multitasking and communicating on dozens of levels. For some people, this frantic activity will never be felt as success. Each person’s interpretation of success is unique.

The real issue is this: can you identify your idea of success each day, week, month, year, and for life? You need to understand what victory means to you in order to live a successful life. A successful life is really nothing more than a collection of successful days.

Here is a visualization technique that may help. Imagine your ideal life five years from now. What does your life look like? What is different? What is the same? The five years will pass regardless, but what will you do ensure the years move toward your ideal life, rather than away from (or simply stagnate)?
